Chowking's Orange Chicken Party at Fort Bonifacio

The Chowking branch along Rizal Drive in Fort Bonifacio became a party club for a night last March 17, 2010. Jericho Rosales, Chowking’s endorser for its latest offering called Orange Chicken, hosted the event along with Chef Rosebud Benitez of Quickfire fame. They initiated some games where participants got to take home Swatch watches, Samsung phones and digicams. I had fun just by being there and witnessing everything, from the cosplayers that danced the now popular ‘chicken dance’ to my fellow bloggers who joined in the fun dancing the way Jericho did. It was a sight to behold, I tell you.

MORE PHOTOS TO BE UPLOADED SHORTLY...

Of course, the star of the night was the Orange Chicken itself. Breaded chicken fillet chunks in orange-y sauce + white rice = oh!some and oh!-so-juicy meal! Had the confetti they intentionally sprinkled on air didn’t land on most bowls, I would’ve have eaten more. But I digress. The Orange Chicken served to us was very tasty (though a bit on the sweet side) and had those peeled orange wedges that you see on the poster.

I first tried Orange Chicken out-of-town, at a Chowking branch in Subic to be exact. I was with friends and we decided to have supper before hitting the road. We were on our way to Manila from an office outing. Superfriend even had a Jericho-like pose with the Orange Chicken in one of his promotional posters. Teehee.

nice

Orange Chicken is available at all Chowking branches nationwide at P89 for ala carte and P100 for value meal.
