One lovely Sunday last August, the hubby and I took our house guest (my friend and kumare Josh) to Songkran Authentic Thai Streetfood in BF Homes, Parañaque. It's a causal resto with a nice ambience and serves good Thai food. It was definitely a lunch to remember and let me tell you why.
Check out the food we ordered below which were all a delight in their own right:
This Pad Thai (P210) was very tasty. It's more on the sweet side, though. But the mung beans and tofu were bittersweet and crunchy and somehow, they were able to neutralize the sweetness of this dish.
The Green Chicken Curry (P270) was a bit sweet as well but had a rich, spicy curry taste and delicate texture. Veggies like eggplant and red bell peppers were also mixed in. The chicken pieces were quite few, though, and that's the only thing I can complain about it. Haha.
As for the Bagoong Rice (P170), the bagoong flavor was just mild and it went well with the other toppings which were mostly in their raw form. I liked that the rice came in a generous serving that we had a hard time finishing it.
Now, their Thai Iced Tea (P100) was the bomb! It arrived in a tall glass, was very refreshing and the milk and tea ratio was just right. We all thought it made us full faster because after a few sips while waiting for our food, we felt quite stuffed already.
We enjoyed chatting inside the restaurant because there were only two other groups when we went there and they were just quietly eating. The servers were the silent type, too. It's like they were trained to respect the privacy of the diners, which for me is a plus point.
with my two dining companions
Food, service and ambience-wise, Songkran is a good choice of restaurant if you're in the BF Homes area. We shall be back! :)
