During the first bloggers event of California Berry last Sunday held in its Mezza Residences Branch, I got the chance to sample this fast-growing fro-yo shop's new products sure to satisfy your food cravings this summer. They were fresh yogurt fruit blends, ice ice baby (shaved ice with fruit and fro-yo), four kinds of pasta and organic coffee.
the store
colorful toppings for the fro-yo
more fro-yo add-ons (such an eye candy!)
double berry, P120
mango tango, P120
This was my drink. It had mango, banana and fro-yo. Cool and refreshing. I liked that it had just the right sweetness and a nice blend of mango and banana. This would have been perfect if more fro-yo were mixed in, though. Just a thought.
ice ice baby, P65
enjoyed the texture of these creamy ice shavings in my mouth
This ice ice baby was fun to eat! The unique texture of the cool ice shavings was a welcome treat in my mouth. It also made me full, for some reason. Must be the effect of the choco toppings or all the food I consumed prior to this.
strawberry baby
This strawberry treat had a balance of sweetness and tartness. It was simple as it was. My fave!
PASTA SELECTION
Here they are up close:
spaghetti bolognese, P125
seafood alfredo, P145
cheesy lasagna, P145
pasta carbonara, P125
From the list, I was able to try the cheesy lasagna and true to its word, it was cheesy. The ground meat was generous, too. The lower layer was a bit difficult to cut using the pink plastic fork I was provided with, but a little effort could certainly go a long way.
organic coffee, P85
This smelled good! I intentionally didn't ask for some because I was limiting my caffeine intake. Consumed a lot of chocolates the past weeks. Sssshhh.

A bloggers event isn't complete without games. California Berry got us to have two. I won the first one along with my partner blogger Ryan. It was a fun game involving what do you know, a calamansi! It was a race on getting the calamansi from the top to the bottom clothing of the boys. It was both crazy and fun! The second one was balloon bursting (which I wasn't able to watch because I was busy eating, haha).

If there's one thing I liked about California Berry (aside from the fact that they serve only non-fat frozen yogurt), it was its fresh and fun vibe. You can feel this just by looking at the store's interiors and tasting its exciting and healthy product line. And yes, they're the only yogurt shop that offers pasta and coffee yet. Talk about creativity at work.
