Last Sunday, the fiancee, his sister A, his father L and I went to Cash and Carry Mall in Makati to check out some lighting fixtures and appliances at the Anson's branch there. Edwin ended up getting the chandelier ceiling fan that his dad and sister saw during their previous visit to the store. It's gonna be for his Cavite home that's currently being improved. When it was snacking time, I invited them to grab a bite at Sizzler Grill Cafe. It's one of the dining establishments lining the front of the supermarket.
There's only one thing I'm sure of about the cafe we went into: they serve the famous Makati Supermart Spaghetti! I had long wanted to try it and that afternoon was the perfect opportunity to do so. We ordered from their Merienda set meals whose prices ranged from P79 to P115.

While waiting for our order, one of the waiters served us complimentary Nido soup. It was hot and tasty and we loved it.

Here's what we had for merienda:
Merienda Tandem 4, P89
Edwin and his father L ordered this. Edwin liked the palabok a lot. He said the noodles was cooked just right and sauce was flavorful. As for the lumpiang prito (fried spring rolls), he found the taste bland and the roll itself was too oily for his liking.

This is what Albie and I ordered. It had a serving of the classic Makati Supermart spaghetti, a half chicken sandwich, and some fries. It also came with a glass of iced tea.
Now I know what makes the Makati Supermart spaghetti a real treat. It's Pinoy spaghetti with a twist. Instead of hotdogs, it has Vienna sausage and ham. What a nice variation. It actually gives the spaghetti a distinct flavor.
While the fries tasted good, the chicken sandwich was yummy. For P115, I think our merienda plates were very reasonably-priced. A and I both finished our plates and we even had the guts to eat the lumpiang prito that father L didn't want to touch. Sorry, we were just hungry. Haha.

Aside from their merienda fares, Sizzler Grill Cafe serves complete meals. I think I saw several meat and vegetable dishes, plus their specialty of grilled items. Their prices are quite affordable and the service, very friendly, too. I wouldn't mind eating there again.
