Another experiment in the kitchen and I was able to come up with a huge bowl of spaghetti with a twist! Just like our Pinoy spaghetti, it has hotdogs but with only a few hints of sweetness. I used cream and fresh tomatoes for the sauce. I added chili powder to the dish for some spice and used queso de bola (left over from Christmas) as seasoning and toppings. It was a hit with my siblings, as always. Get the recipe to my rich and creamy spaghetti after the jump...
Ingredients:
200g cooked Del Monte Spaghetti
100 ml. Nestle All-Purpose Cream
1/4 cup minced garlic
1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
1 small red bell pepper, minced
1/2 cup water
250g hotdog, sliced
1 small can of corned beef
1/2 cup bechamel (butter, flour and water combination)
1 egg
oil
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1.In a pan, heat oil and add the garlic. As the garlic starts turning golden brown, add the sliced tomatoes and the minced red bell pepper.
2.Add the bechamel, hotdogs and corned beef.Simmer for five minutes.
3.Add the cream and the chili powder.
4.Add salt and pepper to taste. Also add some queso de bola for more flavor.
5.Turn off the heat and add the egg while stirring constantly (to prevent the egg whites from forming).
6. Pour over the sauce to the bowl of cooked pasta. Top with queso de bola.
The recipe serves four to six people. :)
